Cindy, no one is making a negative conclusion about your
upbringing...and, sorry, but to accuse us as a group of actually
telling a lie is unfair. Forgive me, but you are making the mistake
of taking this stuff personally : )

I would bet most of us on this list were given formula as infants -
even the vast majority! A lot of us are pretty healthy. It is not
proof of anything.

Well, that 'simple claim'  is a shorthand, which as busy people
speaking to others who by and large share the same outlook, we tend
to use on this list, knowing that we don't have to use the formal
academic 'studies indicate.....' every time. This is email, a
dialogue, not a discussion paper or a presentation.  I think we tend
to use the phraseology that feels most appropriate to the
context....if you stick around, you'll get used to it : )
