I learned last week that the CDC's national immunization survey already IS
asking about infant feeding. There are two bf categories: any bf and
"exclusive," which is really "almost exclusive," since the babies can get
water. They expect to have the first data in the spring of 2002 and in three
years will have enough data to break down by state and for the 20 largest
cities. I can't give any more details because this is all I know---but I
think it's pretty great!
