Hello,
I live in an area where Nestle is one of the largest employers in the town.
Also, it buys milk off thousands of dairy farmers in the area. Many of
these people have babies at the local hospital, and many of the
midwives/nurses are also from farming families who sell their milk to
Nestle. The hospital is hoping to achieve baby friendly accreditation.
They accept funding from Nestle. (apparently even the Christmas party is
funded by Nestle) Many argue that the hospital would accept funding from
any other large employer in town, so how can they *not* just because our
large company also happens to make infant formula (Not at our factory, I'm
told) Is there any way that accepting funding from Nestle and BFHI are
compatible? Opinion is split. Has anyone had a similar situation?
