One resource would be an article by Naylor, Creer, Woodward-Lopez, and Dixon
"Lactation Management Education for Physicians" Seminars in Perinatology, Vol
18, No 6 (Dec), 1994: pp525-531.
Discusses the education gap, curriculum objectives/outlines by levels:
awareness, generalist, and specialist, for med students and residency
programs. The objectives outline has a note "reprinted with permisssion,
Wellstart International", So, that should be in the training manual that you
have?, and maybe Wellstart has an updated outline done since this article was
published in '94?
Also:
Newton E: Breastfeeding/lactation and the medical school curriculum. JHL
8:122-124, 1992.
My quickie outline includes a pretest based on Jack Newmans article from
Scientific American, reasons to support BF, cost of not BF, the ten steps, BF
eval, challenges and problem solving, resources and support.
