Dear Friends:
This phenomenon is serious. A friend was telling me as she grieved the
loss of a 39 year old friend, who died from a massive MI on Super Bowl
Sunday. His parents, and even some grandparents are alive. She wonders about
the link between breastfeeding and long-term cardiac health.
I remember reading about how atherosclerotic the arteries were of the
Viet Nam boys who were killed in action. These young men had the arteries of
men twice and three times their age. They were the first generation to be
overwhelmingly formula fed.
How many people of all ages have to get sick and/or die before the world
takes breastfeeding seriously enough?
