Hi Cindy. Glad to know of the registry. I wonder how this will work. I have
developed a personal strategy, for my practice, of having services be by
appointment only. I do spend a few minutes on the phone with clients for
assessment purposes, and for reassurance, and referral to MD and midwife if
necessary. But, I also make it clear that I am not an emergency
service...and that services are by appointment only.
I am wondering how IBCLCs will handle this service, including payment. I
know that if I allowed it, I would be able to fill all my waking hours
giving free phone consults, which does not fit in with my family or
professional life.
Interested and curious. Kathleen
