A Milwaukee LC and a Lactnetter, Chris Raasch, sent me a great printout on
Flomax. One of the most interesting facts about it is that it is not
recommended for use in women by the manufacturer because of its
ineffectiveness.
It is used for men for "BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA" and this mother has
not been able to pass urine without a catheter since the birth of her baby
3 weeks ago. The MD wants to try it to see if it will resolve the problem.
But the information also said that it was 99% protein bound, and that is
assurance that it is ok to use while breastfeeding.
Isn't this networking grand?!
