Maybe nothing! If the baby looks ok, and is gaining, is happy at the
breast, latch is good, feeding looks effective, and there are no
signs of dehydration etc, then maybe everything is fine.
You don't say how often the baby is at the breast, and if the mother
is maximising her potential with lots of skin to skin, and
co-sleeping.
Weighing after every feed/each breast and then topping up with
formula or EBM...is that now needed??? It's a pretty labour
intensive way to feed!!
Hope she manages to succeed.
