Gloria, the burden or responsibility for proof of information is on the
professional who told her that breastfeedng causes acne. This statement can
be questioned by the mom and the doctor can be asked to provide
proof. This is ridiculous....and makes me laugh, if it weren't so pitiful.

Subject: acne and breastfeeding
Aloha all,
Hoping for any info you may have. I have a mom with a four month old baby.
When baby was three months old mom started with very bad acne. First time
ever. Her period also returned at this time as well. Her dermatologist
prescribed Differin topically once a day. Doctor knows she is breastfeeding.
He blames the breastfeeding. He told her if the acne doesn't clear up she
should stop breastfeeding---the acne will cause bad scars. Mom knows the
importance of breastfeeding, but fears the effects of the acne
