Good afternoon. First let me say that I am a year-long lurker and
have learned a lot about breastfeeding and lactation issues from
reading your posts. I am a maternal-child clinical nurse specialist and
IBCLC (as of July, 2000!). I have used the archives in the past and
contacted some of you directly for help and input on various issues, but
this is the first time I'm posting to the list. I have searched the
archives but have not found what I'm looking for.
Does anyone have references comparing breastpumps (manual to manual,
electric to electric, manual to electric, etc.) that they can share with me?
Resources you could direct me to? An insurance company is looking at
including pumps as part of their basic maternity package and has asked for
information about what may be best for their customers. FYI, the company
does cover hospital-grade double electric pumps in situations where mothers
are separated from their babies due to the medical need of the child
(example NICU or pediatric admissions).
Please e:mail me privately as well as posting to the list as I sometimes get
behind in my digests.
Thanks for your help.
Wanda Mertick, RN, MN, IBCLC
