I have searched the archives and could not find a discussion on whether
lactating breast problems such as plugged ducts, mastitis, yeast
infection, etc., may be connected to the high rate of prior to pregnancy
contraceptive pill usage. The Pill is a 40 year phenomenon, now
spanning two generations.
Selling bras, I know that the figures of teens and women on the pill are
changed forever. The elevated hormone state which was explained to me
by my doctor as the body sensing it as a pregnancy, changes breast size
and structure.
Could it be that this produces breast problems later? Any cultures or
religious groups having fewer adverse events due to non use?
