LOL! No, I wasn't, unfortunately. Much to her everlasting chagrin, my
mother was heavily discouraged from bf'ing by the docs back when I was born
(way back in '71) - which seems to be the pinacle of bottlefeeding in US
culture. Luckily, however, it was also the height of stay at home moms.
Despite that fact that I wasn't bfed, though, all of my ideas about
nurturing I credit to my mom. : ) Funny, though, she is one of the most
ardent supporters of bf'ing that I know and is forever saying that she only
wished she had the support and info. back then to do it ('course, she says
that about midwives and homebirths too!).
End of gratuitous story of my life, LOL!
