The video I was referring to is one by the Royal College of
Midwives. I believe the title is "Breastfeeding: A Guide to
Successful Positioning" I understand it is available from
Childbirth Graphics (or whatever their name is now.) It is 12
minutes long and fits well in a prenatal class, staff eduction, etc.
Regarding the "just one bottle", I think there was a listing of the
consequences, but can't remember where I saw it. I would like to
get a copy-hopefully someone on LN will know where it came from.
Then there was the story posted earlier this year about a mom whose
baby got a bottle of formula against her wishes and a few months
later, she learned that her husband was HIV positive! Based on the
recent research regarding the apparant protective value of
ABSOLUTELY EXCLUSIVE breastfeeding, that one "harmless" bottle could
mean the difference between life and death for that baby!. An
extreme (and hopefully rare) case, but certainly dramatic.
