Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago I requested some help finding some studies about IQ for
my mom who was doing a paper on "is bf better than formula" for her 1st
year university-level course on nutrition. They were articles which
were referred to in "Milk, Money, and Madness" by Naomi Baumslag MD &
Dia L. Michels, and which were in the Lancet I think, amongst other
places.
Several of you helped us out by sending on pertinent information about
studies done on bf and formula-fed infants and their respective IQ
levels. For this I thank you very much.
My mom has since sent me a copy (minus bibliography, unfortunately!) of
her essay (about 9 pages Times Roman 12 pt double spaced I think?), and
I have asked her permission to share it (which she gave gladly). If
anyone wants to see it, they'd be welcome to see it, but I would rather
send it out individually rather than clog up the list with it,
especially as it is not a "bf professional" who wrote this (but at least
she bf me for 7.5 months! ;-)).
So, anyone who wants to read this, may contact me in private to get a
copy e-mailed to you.
Fio.
