I know this is a barter, and it was only posted in response to the comments
of getting paid, period. I still would not turn someone away or tell them
to go to xyz clinic just because I need to be paid. If a mom needs help, I
will help her, regardless of her ability to pay me. But then I have the
same philosophy for child birth education and midwifery services. The only
true ones who suffer in our quest to get paid what we are worth, are those
who can't afford anything and figure at least WIC will pay for their
formula... and of course the babies.
