Dear Joan, it took me a while but I figured out this mom is the mom of the
high school friend.

Probably helpful if she can deal with one person, I think sometimes when
mom gets advice from umpteen sources it is just confusing.  The helpers can
all meet or talk/share ideas, but keep  one person as the
contact/spokesperson.

This is probably one of those times when tincture of time will help  the
most.  As baby becomes more comfortable he may be willing to try.  In the
meantime preserving the milk supply is crucial and preserving mom's sanity
and energy is also crucial!  I think co-bathing would be a good route to
