I need some help on an interesting case.
I have a new mom of a full term baby. Baby in NICU on vent. due to mec.
aspiration. Mom really wants to give EBM, but is concerned because she is
taking and NEEDING Elavil 150 mg qHS and Ativan 1 - 2 mg PRN (up to 6 mg in
24 hrs). We have read everything we can find about these meds and poss
problems. Getting mixed reviews. My real concern comes from dealing with a
baby already in a compromised situation. Should she give her milk or not???
Thanks in advance.
