I would love info. re: how to test prolactin levels. I can find no info. in any of my books: I did see a table of values in Lawrence.s 4th e, but no "protocol". I believe a hep lock is placed several minutes before the baseline is drawn. The baseline is drawn, and then mom nurses for 15 minutes, and then the level is checked again. So...2 levels? I've heard it called the triple prolactin test (is the 3rd thing creamatocrit)? Also, I've only seen a "baseline" table - and have read that a surge should produce up to 10X that level? Is that right? Baby is 3 weeks old now.
