I have a mom who is G2P3. First pregnancy she had twins and breastfeeding
was going well until she had a terrible accident when they were 5 weeks old
and totally distroyed her hip and leg. She tried pumping for a while but
with all the stress of surgery and recovery plus the care of 2 babies her
milk dried up. Aprrox 3 months later she fell off the curb and injured her
knee on the same leg! Well the twins are 5 years old and she has had
another baby and really wants to breastfeed. Her ortho doc told her that
because of her knee and leg she should only BF for one month. She has
asked for my help. I know that a woman's bones are weaker during lactation
but they are stronger after weaning. I just can not find this information
at home. Probably under the piles on my desk at the office. I would
apprectiate any help you can give us.
I am stuck at home sick while my co workers are in Atlanta listening to
Jack Newman!!!!! I am so JEALOUS!!!!
