Just one suggestion: eliminate beef as well. This child may be allergic (as
I often put it when describing my youngest), to the entire cow, not just the
cow's *milk*. Definitely worth a try! Eliminate all bovine products for 10
days and see what happens....and keep us posted!
Regina Roig Lane, BS IBCLC, who's last breastfeeding relationship was saved
by eliminating beef, pork, and chicken from her diet :-)

7 week old has been diagnosed with cows milk protein allergy. At 5 weeks of
age, mom first noticed babyıs stool had mucus with strand of blood. per
Peditritianıs advise she eliminated ALL cow milk protein from her diet.
Since then, the baby has had 12 more stools with streaks of blood in the
mucus. Babys stools are green and not all the stools have blood streaks in
them. 2 to 4 days have gone by in between the blood streaked stools.

She has been told to stop breastfeeding and use alimentum.
