Fio said: the Avent Isis pump is very
compatible with playtex nursers (if anyone can't
figure out how & wants
to know, ask me & I'll explain in more detail). This
means that at
least I no longer have to pump into the 4-oz Avent
bottle and then
transfer (pour) into the playtex nurser & bags...I can
pump directly
into the nurser bags.

I, too, am pumping for a friend, and surprisingly, I
don't mind it much. I find it interesting and I'm
glad I can do it for her. I just got a Lactina Select
so it will be even easier.
As far as what to pump *into*- I bought some Medela
CFS bags and *love* them, but they're expensive at US
$.40 each. I've taken to checking the clearance
section at local stores looking for clearanced
bottles, and have bought a few dozen that way. They
have ended up to be US $.20 each. I would even
solicit donations of bottles from people in order to
store the milk in. I think that the bottles will be
much easier for the friend to actually use, than the
bags. (said friend has not had her baby yet, couldnt'
lactate twice, but we're hoping she does this time.)
I feel really wierd looking at bottles in the stores
too.
