Levodopa antagonizes the production of prolactin, so it could be a problem
for the nursing mother. Why not hold off for a few weeks, until the milk
supply is well established, and maybe the mother will do okay. The amount
of the Levodopa that gets into the milk is probably very small. But I have
no experience with it.
There are other antiparkinsonian drugs which can be used during
breastfeeding.
