Regarding baby "needing" ABM instead of breast milk after surgery.
I didn't know there was a fat-free formula!  If they're talking
about  a regular formula, why should that fat be any better?  It
makes no sense, like too many recommendations.  On the other hand,
if there is a fat-free formula and that's what they're recommending,
couldn't mom pump her milk, chill it, and skim off the fat?  Of
course, then baby would be at greater risk for the problems we have
discussed so often from getting not enough hind milk.
