To Sharon and others:

I work with a relatively supportive Pedi (who saw us when nursing her own
two) who has been looking into the problems when we see babies with
tongue-tie (ankyloglossia). It is her opinion that it is not within the scope
of practice for her as a pediatrician to clip the frenulum, as it is
considered a surgical procedure, however minor. She is looking into how she
can learn and be supervised with this procedure, but is not sure if she can
even become approved to do it (isn't this why the OB docs do circs, rather
than a pedi doing the procedure - what do OBs know about male anatomy?? BUT,
they are surgeons).

Any pediatricians on the list with comments or info on this??? Thanks,
