I would like to remind you all that the topic of working physicians is
getting a bit off-topic....many professional women face these challenges,
not just physicians. I would also like you all to remember that judgement
has no place if a breastfeeding specialist is truly interested in helping a
mother breastfeed.
It is easy to paint a breastfeeding supporter as a "zealot," or an employed
mother as "non-caring." Neither judgement is accurate or fair, or helpful
if what we truly want is rapport.
And, let's recall that every woman who has children is a working woman.
Kindly, Kathleen
