I called the phone number printed in the Washington Post Article and spoke
to an aide. I was told that the quote was taken out of context, that his
point was that it is not illegal or considered indecent to breastfeed in public
so no bill was needed. I did discuss the fact that women are constantly
harassed by officials and security, etc. because most people don't have a clue
what the law is and that women are made to feel that they don't have the
right to feed their babies in public.
