Aloha all,
I received a call from a mom today. She is breastfeeding her 3 month old.
Since the postpartum period, she has been experiencing sweats that have a
musky odor. She said it is not coming from under her arms. She is blaming
the breastfeeding. I talked to her about soaps, perfumes, etc. She is doing
nothing different. Not to blame this on the breastfeeding, but I remember
experiencing sweats with my third baby early postpartum. Maybe that in
combination with any scent she has on her skin from soaps, etc could be
causing the musky odor. Any ideas? She is on no medications or
galactogogues.
Thanks.
Aloha,
