Ok, hold on a sec...it's not okay for a newborn to get
lots of colostrum, but it is ok to stuff them with 2
oz of ABM??? I thought I read somewhere that the
first day, the newborn's stomach volume was in the
order of about 5-10 ml, and yet they're given 2 oz
(what's that, about 45 ml? so 5-10x their stomach
volume) of ABM...I don't get it...I would have thought
that in just about any case, colostrum would be better
suited than ABM, even if it's in larger quantities
than "the norm"...

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this...or was this
nurse just mistaken?!

Myra.
