>Elective induction at 38 weeks and elective C/S are edging out my ability

I have to agree, the whole elective thing is getting out of hand. I was at
a midwifery conference last weekend (NCI) and I was amazed at how many women
elect c/s or induction without cause, and at such early weeks. More and
more ob's will do then now at 37 weeks. There is a good book that I am
going to start recommending to clients that I see when they are still PG,
The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer. I met her last
weekend and all I can say is WOW what a wealth of knowledge.
