Yes!!!!  I've seen more than a few babies like this as well....only in this
case, most of them were like this from birth.  Normal, non-traumatic,
non-medicated births...babies just wouldn't latch with the normal stuff -
cradle or cross cradle hold, cupping breast in one hand,  bringing baby to
breast, not breast to baby, etc....

*but* when mom laid on  her side, expressed a bit of colostrum onto her
nipple, then just held baby next to her, baby would slurp colostrum, then
eventually (2-24h) latch by themselves.  They continued to be nursers like
that.....didn't want to be put on the breast, just kind of near it so that
they could do it themselves.

Really cool.
