Jean and Rose in South Africa - yes, that's the way I've seen breast
abscesses too (though it sure didn't take 10 years to see the first
one!).  But I will go for 12 months or more without one then have 5 over
two months - same with cleft lip and palates.  And I remember it used to be
like that with appendixes too when I was doing surgical nursing, and with
preterm births now I'm a midwife... interesting, huh?

Back to abscesses though - maybe it is as innocuous as the waxing and
waning of other occurrences, but you do tend to wonder if there's a
'different' bug out there that comes and goes.
