Here is a good one-yes this is a personal question-but I am a breastfeeding specialist!

Does anyone know of a good reason to deny a breastfeeding (15 months postpartum -if you can say that) women Lasik eye surgery? I have been told several reasons:
1. eye changes (my prescription has not changed in 5 years, which includes 2 pregnancies)
2. risk to baby due to steroids taken after surgery - as we all know there is are several options to this one

So if anyone has a good argument for or against please e-mail me privately ([log in to unmask] )or post so everyone can see. This issue might come up again.....

Thanks,
Jackie Kampp, RN, PHN, CLC
