When I talk to moms about "BF would have been a better choice" I offer
help with next baby, tell her resources in the community etc. And yes, I
do lay the "blame" for her ignorance re: BF or ignorance that contributed
to failure where it belongs! If no one ever tells you BF is important or
if someone gives you screwball info that leads you straight to bot fdg,
then you need to know that so you don't fall for the same poor info twice.
People like many of us, who swam through the alligator swamps to BF, are
not the common variety of mom out there. I'm sorry but if another HCP
gives blatantly poor advice than that HCP needs to own the consequences of
that inaccurate info. It applies in all other areas of medicine, why not
