I've heard this before....a friends midwife was telling the friend
this....I've heard it a couple of times from a couple of different midwives.
Just to be clear, they're referring only to the colostrum and not to the
whole concept of tandem nursing.  At least in the cases I've heard.

I think they're concerned that toddler will nurse very frequently from birth,
milk will come in more quickly and baby will not have gotten the amount of
colostrum that he was meant to get b/c mature milk will be in sooner.

*if* this is a concern, then one option would be to limit toddler nursing
from birth till milk comes in.

Probably not much of an issue though as long as baby is nursing and getting
colostrum.
