The Prometrium is safe because it is just a progesterone substitute,
however, she will probably see a quick drop in her milk supply AND you may
suggest that she ask her HCP for the progesterone suppositories instead, I
have used and studied both, in my opinion the supp. work better because they
are absorbed quicker. Sadly nothing can help the milk supply when pregnant,
I lost mine by about 8 weeks, but my toddler hung on and was still comfort
nursing when the baby was born, and now dare I say he nurses as much or
close to as much as she does! Let's hope he stops teething soon.
