Hi everyone... I have a mom who has VERY high blood pressure, to the point that they hospitalized her for CAT scan etc to rule out aneurism; it is running about 160 over 100 right now & she is feeling quite ill, has been dealing with this for months... baby born November 7th and exclusively BF; had low birthweight / slightly preemie, ped says he was malnourished (?) during the pregnancy due to her illnesses but now he is healthy & thriving, gaining well.... she has just been put on 40 mg of Propranolol 3 times per day to try to control the blood pressure and is concerned about potential effects on baby, VERY committed to continung BF & has been given the OK to continue but still concerned about the effects of the medication & also wondering if there are any better alternatives she may want to try.... thanks!!!!
