Just a quick question. Has anyone recently discussed Fosamax? A doula
friend's client was told she has 86% bone density, is nursing a 9 month old.
She was told to wean immediately and start on Fosamax. Tom Hale says it has
extremely poor oral bioavailability. It sounds to me like she could take it.
Also,
couldn't' she take calcium/magnesium to replace bone density? Won't she
replenish some more bone density after weaning (in her and her baby's own
timing)? Thanks for any input you all have. Shirley Morris, RN, IBCLC, LMT
