Have to share this one...
I met with a couple today on rounds in my hospital...they questioned me
about letting the baby use mom as a pacifier. I told them that from a
lactation standpoint and for me,personally, there is no problem. Let the
baby nurse...yady, yady, yady. Then they said the OB told them it was a
problem. Now usually the OB's don't say much about BF, he told them that
the gastric juices start in the mouth and that if the baby uses you as a
pacifier...that could start sore nipples...
What will they think of next? Why do we have to make up stories???
