And the certainty of antibiotics with c/s has a prolonged effect on the
baby's gut.  There is speculation that there is a connection between
antibiotic use with births and the high incidence of GER.  And there is a
high incidence of allergy in infants with GER.

So, with c sections, mothers testing positive for B strep, and fevers
accompanying epidurals, there are few mothers and babies that leave the
hospital without having had broad-spectrum abx. I saw one yesterday and
made note of it due to its rarety in my clientele.

We surely are "mucking up" a lot of little humans.
