No, one can't in theory physically force any age child to breastfeed.
But one can coerce a child into continuing to breastfeed.
One wonders how this could be possible "Goodness, all he'd have to do is
not latch on!" Sometimes it's not that simple.
I don't know what happened. but I do know it's entirely possible this
child was guilt tripped and coerced into continuing nursing. I also know
it's entirely possible his babysitter fed him a bunch of crap about how he
was too big to be doing that and it was time to stop and she'd sure help
him if he liked blah blah blah.
I confess too, due to my own experiences it is only about .01% of the time
I believe a "CPS Stole My Kids for No Reason" story.
