Thyroid problems are best followed by endocrinologists and with the
description of this patient it doesn't sound like waiting a bit for an
appointment is that crucial. I wouldn't recommend this produce for my clients.

My acupuncturist's husband is a Family Practice MD who is extensively trained
in Chinese herbalism. She and I once had a discussion about DHEA which would
lead me to concur with you. It is her husband's opinion that there are other
treatments preferable to DHEA in most cases, although she did say it had some
specific uses. (As a side, my veterinarian once had me give it to my sick
cat.)
    OTOH, for borderline hypothryoidism, I recommend clients see a
naturopath, since the long-term dependence on drugs can be averted with
herbal/nutritional therapy.
