"I have been asked to submit some tips on maintaining/handling breast milk
while away on a business trip. If anyone would like to send me special tips
to include it would be greatly appreciated."

As Carol mentioned, taking the baby and a caretaker along would be great.
Renting a hospital-grade pump (or using a PNS or Purely Yours pump). Taking
a battery pack for the pump. Taking an electrical adapter/converter if
traveling overseas. Pumping at least as frequently as she usually pumps at
work and as the baby BF's after work hours. Have the hotel freeze the milk
in their commercial freezers. If her return travel involves many hours,
consider bringing the pumped milk back packed in dry ice. (Check the
archives for particulars.)

Expect that her milk supply will likely dwindle somewhat, if this is an
extended business trip. Anticipatory guidance in tips to re-establish milk
supply after return - frequent BF and maybe increased pumping, taking some
time-off immediately upon return to spend with baby and BF. Also discuss
the possibility that the baby may refuse to BF after her return, again
depending on the length of the trip and the age of the baby.
