Maybe I missed it, but did not see a response to this question. My children
take acidophilus from the age of one or so directly on their tongues (broken
open capsule). They actually like it and I have really never had anyone I
have suggested it to report they thought it was "foul". Someone who is
experiencing yeast die-off may get diarrhea. I recommend psyllium husk in
this case. As to the question about yoghurt--several years back (this is in
the US), Nutrition Action Healthletter did a report on yoghurt. They found
that only one of the many brands they tested actually contained live cultures
at the time of purchase. So, w/o the live cultures, all you ae doing is
eating a dairy product. Even w/ the cultures, you will not get as much as
with the supplement.
