A baby around 3 mos has stools that are appropriately yellow but mucousy,
never or nearly never seedy. (I saw one.)
Most likely this is mild oversupply-related (I posted a while ago about this
baby, who was so gaspy -- she's better now). Or possibly some sensitivity to
dairy in mom's diet.
But the question is: if the baby isn't obviously unhappy, is there any
reason to worry about the stools? Is it desirable to figure out what's
making them mucousy, or is life too short to worry about this if the baby is
thriving?
Seeking advice, Elisheva
