Dear Friends,

I am working with a mom who is nursing a 13 month-old. Baby was over 10
lbs. at birth and did great until about 2 months of age--then he
experienced projectile vomiting for a few weeks at a time, then nothing
for a few weeks. Poor baby has struggled through this for 13 months and
barely weights 20 lbs. now. Mom has been fabulous about nursing and
insisting that *something* is wrong and finally, was told that baby has
reflux.

I've read the archives on reflux (which are fabulous) but there is not
much about reflux in the older baby. Can anyone share with me anything
that has helped? She is not really happy about using any traditional
medications, so any info about herbs, positions, tips, suggestions, etc.
would really help.

Mom has a great milk supply because she is nursing all night long, one
or two times a day PLUS, she is pumping about 8 oz. a day for her
grandfather who has lung cancer. She is truly phenomenal.

Thanks for your help.
