Carol, something good has happened. Lamaze International gave support to
the WHO Code on the marketting of Breastmilk sub., bottles, nipples,
pacifiers. Your response surprised me. Is this an attitude problem that we
have. To react to something good with such skepticism and negativism. I am
sorry for that. Why not learn to celebrate something good and work to
change the hindrances. It sounds like you are tired of power struggle? Or
doubt there can ever be a change? There already has been and continues to
be. Maybe not as fast as you want it to be and the way that you want it to
be - but attitudes are changing. What brings change? Why did Lamaze make
the decision to change? The doctors are not the only ones involved in the
culture. I think that we should all congratulate Lamaze and any
organization/individual that supports and works for positive change.
Congratulate yourself everyday for the good work that you do!
