Don't have a video but there is a wonderful picture book available here in
Australia called "Hello Baby" that looks at a home birth through the eyes
of the youngest sibling who hasn't seen anyone born before. It talks about
the pain of labour in a comforting way, you see pictures of the baby being
born and the placenta and it is all dealt with as birth being a normal
thing and all to do with families. I just love it!!!!
This book apparently has caused a lot of contoversey but I think that it is
just beautiful and it is up for a Children's Book Coumcil Award. So much
better than those other books about birth where the children prepare all
the clothes, mum is whisked away into the hospital void and a baby somehow
appears.
