I second Teresa's suggestion to consider celiac disease. Celiac is often
forgotten  and so is very under-diagnosed. The corn dog would have
likely had gluten in it and caused a reaction.

If celiac is the case, the diet is like magic.  A little difficult to
settle into but 1000 times better than the symptoms. Knowing the key
that determines which foods are good and which are bad is amazing and
empowering for a mum who has been confused and lost for years.
