Many mothers nursing toddlers can reassure you that this is normal, and
several previous LactNet posts -- some of them mine -- have offered
suggestions on sleep that may be workable. I think the subject line was
nightwaking -- anyone else know? In the case of this toddler, it sounds
like it might be a case of permanent "reverse cycling" -- finding
quality time with mother when it is available. A nap right after work /
father's arrival, an early bed time for lots of cuddling, and week-end
catch-up naps may all be helpful.
