Thanks, Virginia for a 2 new factoids to incorporate into my explanation
to moms who have used their baby's "chuggalugging" down a bottle to
reinforce their fear that thay had heretofore been starving the baby.
I think it would also be a good addition to explanations I sometimes have
to give to mothers who have made a firm decision, for whatever reason,
not to breastfeed at all. One more way they can be taught to bottlefeed
in a breastfeeding manner.
And it certainly could pertain to those whose past psycho-sexual
experiences make pumping and feeding EBM by bottle their feeding method
of choice.
